Concepts.Crisis.

During one of my many wanderings upon this World Wide Web, I stumbled upon a horrible catastrophe! As clever/brilliant/funny/attractive as we all are, someone (or someones) have beaten us to the punch. Concepts.Inc. is already a marketing and communications business run out of Maryland, USA. While there is no definite proof that they started Concept.Inc. before we did, they seem to have developed a large portfolio, with clients that include US Department of Labor, Mortgage Bankers Association of America and Immigration & Refugee Services of America. While they do seem to have some big credentials, they do not have the employee numbers that we carry and in today’s society of gender equality, they do not have a strong representation of both male and female employees.

Here is the link for those who are interested:
http://www.conceptspr.com/

This does leave us with some concern about the future of the better Concepts.Inc. (ours). We as a group must decide if we should prevail over our rival and buy them out when we make our first few millions, or, although it would bring tears to me eyes, re-vamp our company name in some way, shape or form.

So I am opening this up to everyone! Give your opinion on what you think we should do and place it in the comments section. Nothing will be made official until there is a group discussion and vote….but please throw some ideas into the ring.

….And remember there’s no bad ideas, only bad gers

I say we drop kick them and then slap them in the mouth. Then get them to change their name to NiceConceptsNoConcepts.Inc. I think this solution will be sufficient.

Let's show them who's Boss

I say we anonymously send them cute little kittens only to steal and kill them at a later date. If we did it enough times they'd start to get really confused.
I guess that's not the most serious of comments, but I do have two points.
1. I'm not sure how much trouble having the same name would be since we are based in Canada. There may be some sort of international copyright law but it definitely isn't a problem for the time being.
2. As Scott mentioned, it is evident that our 'Concepts.Inc' is the better of the two. A fun way to demonstrate that would be to turn the OTHER 'concepts' into one of our own concepts. I'm sure there website is riddled with contact information since they've probably convinced themselves that people care what they are doing. I say we open a dialogue with the other 'Concepts' operating under the guise of interested clients but then intentionally make that dialogue awkward for them and funny for us. Any communications could be compiled in a collection.
I'm not sure how clearly this potential concept has come across and even if it was clear, it may be considered too elaborate/
immoral/useless, but it seems sort of funny in my head. Any comments are welcome.

I relly think that Memeber Ross is on to something here. I say that next meeting or before we create the profile of an interested client. Could this possibly be Glen Johnson applying for a job or consultation? I mean he's already run for election in the PHE student association elections at Queen's. What preventing him from contacting this "other" and "less exciting" Concepts inc.

It has come to my attention that there are web addresses such as www.concepts.inc.com which are not used by anyone at this current time. If we had the option of being funded in the future, the idea of purchasing a web address could be tossed around a little. I do like the idea of glen applying to the 'other' concepts company though too.
Cordially yours,

Trevor.Concepts.Inc
